About Me

Posted by Anne Ederveen on

I live with my husband and 2 sons in North Cairns in a Queenslander house that we are now renovating. It's becoming a long process but very rewarding as we finish sections.

I started this company selling at markets around Cairns and the Atherton Tablelands. For anyone considering selling their goods at markets, it is very rewarding. I have made so many good friends from both my customers and other marketers.

Since covid shut down the markets for some time, I started doing pop-ups at local shopping centres and found that I now have a following of customers who are on the lookout for my next stall, so along came the need to start up my online store.

This now gives me a better chance to accomplish my business goals are. That is to sell products that are helping the artisans and their families. All of my products are fair trade and most are sustainable. I try to get natural fibres as much as I can but some suppliers like the Colombia Wayuu tribes only work with acrylic. I feel that the benefits to the Wayuu people with the purchase of their Mochilas is worth it.

I hope you love the quality and styles of our products as much as I do. All the products are either made from home or from small workshops with the money from their purchases staying with the artisans.
